Angle Property agrees sale to Bellway Homes in Sunbury

Angle Property, leading London and South-East developer, has recently exchanged contracts with Bellway Homes to sell their 4.25-acre site in Hazelwood Drive, Sunbury-on-Thames, subject to planning.

The site was originally acquired by Angle Property in 2017 and is currently metropolitan greenbelt, although surrounded by residential properties and the London Irish rugby training ground. The site has been allocated for around 67 residential units in the emerging draft Reg 19 local plan, which is due to be formally voted on by Spelthorne Borough Council in May 2022 with public consultation starting in June 2022.

Over the coming months, Angle and Bellway will prepare a detailed planning application for the site, which is set to include 50% affordable housing, bio-diversity net gains and improved access across the site for local residents.

Sunbury is an affluent town in Surrey, on the north bank of the River Thames. The site is perfectly located for fast access to London by train (less than one hour), the M3 motorway and local facilities.

James Good, Managing Director of Angle Property, commented: “I am very pleased to have exchanged contracts with Bellway Homes for this prime site, and look forward to bringing forward a new high-quality residential scheme to meet the needs of local residents, including 50% affordable provision. Angle has considerable funds available for sites in similar locations around London and the South-East.”

CBRE and Rapleys acted for Angle Property.
