Kingsmead Business Park judicial review claim is dismissed

Angle Property is pleased to announce that the judicial review claim made by Thame Town Council to its mixed use development proposals at Kingsmead Business Park in Thame has been dismissed.

Planning consent was granted on appeal for 129 new homes, a 68 bed carehome and 1500 m2 of B1 offices on the 11 acre site in March 2020. The original planning application was recommended for approval but rejected by the South Oxfordshire District Council planning committee in February 2019. The High Court claim was heard by virtual hearing on 20th January 2020 by Mrs Justice Lang DBE and Angle Property were co-defendants alongside Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government. Costs of £10,000 have been awarded to the defendants.

Dispite the delays, Angle has exchanged two land sales which will be announced in due course and lead to the redevelopment of this vacant, brownfield site and meeting the needs of the local community.

Montagu Evans and Landmark Chambers acted for Angle Property.
