Angle Property completes £10.4million sale in Sunbury-on-Thames
Angle Property (“Angle”) is thrilled to announce the sale of its 4.25-acre site at Hazlewood Drive in Sunbury-on-Thames to Chartway Group Limited for £10.4m.
The unused greenbelt site in Sunbury-on-Thames was originally purchased in August 2017 and had positive attributes for future residential allocation in the emerging local plan due to its surrounding existing development and location.
The promotion of the site led to a successful allocation for residential development in the draft Spelthorne Local Plan, which was submitted for examination in November 2022. In January 2023, Angle and Bellway Homes submitted a detailed planning application for 67 homes, which was refused later on that that year due to the impact it could have on the greenbelt. Angle appealed the decision in May 2024 which resulted in permission being granted in November 2024.
Chartway Group have partnered with Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing to develop the 67 unit scheme, of which 50% will be affordable and will be crucial in helping to provide much needed homes to the area.
